Ever since this place opened I've been meaning to come check it out but it's always seemed busy which doesn't work for me as I usually don't plan ahead much... But today I thought I'd drop in as I was in the mood for some salted fish and chicken fried rice...and I'm glad I did!I came a little before midday and wasn't expecting a seat but was pleasantly surprised there was some free spots so decided to dine in as opposed to getting take away. The staff member who served us was very friendly and accommodating.Soon after ordering our meals came out and was pleasantly surprised at the portion size.My meal was great, one of the best I've had in a long time after trying to find a good one around Doncaster and Box Hill for a while.I'd be happy to come back not only for my favourite dish but to try some of the others that looked nice.
Super happy when they opened a new branch in Doncaster.Great food, friendly, efficient & attentive service, easy parking. The curry laksa with choice of stuffed toppings was spot on in terms of taste and serving size. The vegetarian prawn crispy noodles was nice too.The big standout was the self service condiments (various cut chillies & chilli sauce). Some restaurants charge for these but here, you can take any reasonable amounts with no issues.Definite coming back again.
Best stir fried rice drop noodle that I haven't had for a long time since in Malaysia. It's so wok-hei and delicious. I'll definitely come back just for this dish. The curry noodle soup is good too. Good service and nice simple decor.
I have been a long time patron at The Grand Tofu GW store. I only found out about their new store in Doncaster East recently so I decided to take my family there. We were not disappointed. The Yong Tau Foo curry laksa was perfect. The YTF all were big pieces and the laksa soup was fragrant and not too thick. The Hainanese Chicken Rice was good even tho more chicken is welcome. The rice was fragrant and the chicken was smooth as they should be. The Fried Kuay Teow was also better than average. I strongly recommend this place.
I went to the restaurant with my kids and I appreciate all staffs' kindness to my family. All food are fantastic in reasonable price.I'm so happy with this restaurant in my neighborhood.
Great no frills dinner. Ordered the seafood curry laksa and char kuey teow. It was delicious and servings were generous. Will be back again.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Doncaster area, the fish noodle soup is beyond 5 stars with generous portions and a delicious taste, I’ve been to a couple of restaurants that serves the dish, but by far this is easily the best fish head noodle soup in the Eastern suburbs. I’m not a frequent visitor (I say, 2-3 times a month), however the staff here always remembers my order and greets me with the warmest smile, it really shows how the restaurant values their customers.I wouldn’t be able to fault anything on this place, only thing to keep in mind is that during busy hours there may be a queue.Thank you for the quality of food and the hard work.
Amazing dishes to choose from, loved all the food that we ordered. The noodle soup with 6 toppings are delicious. The chicken soup was clean and tasty, the laksa was very authentic and flavourful. We had no issues with the staff, very friendly and helpful. Will be back to try the other dishes!
